It's as HOT as an Oven!

How to bake cookies in your car.....

Well, I read online (which means it is true) that it needs to be at least 95 degrees outside. They suggested using an oven thermometer on the dash, but I did not have the money to spend on that. I already knew it was freakin' hot in the car. It was 105 degrees outside.

So, 1st let the car sit for an hour to heat up.

^
You should use a dark cookies sheet...do not cover with foil. I have foil on the underside because I have some lame-o cookie sheet that doesn't have sides on it.....don't buy those kind.
^
I used a packaged mix....I am not a "bake-from-scrach" kinda girl.
^
Mixing bowl...
^
1 egg...
^
1 tablespoon of melted butter (why did my text change color?)
^
And 2 little hands to help stir (that didn't last long)

^
1 little finger to get the gooey off the fork

^
There they are in all their gooey glory

^
So, quickly stick them on your dash on top of a towel that you put in an hour earlier.
I have no idea what could happen to your dash with really hot cookie sheets sitting on them.^
Ta-Duh!
Here they are!
Now the ones pictured above were real flat
...I remember I put in a little too much melted butter in that batch...oops.But these little honeys....great shape.

3 Hours in the car.
Would have done a little more...well an hour more.
But, the sun had gone down enough that our driveway was in shade
just a little too gooey...not "soft". But I did eat 2 and they were good.
I had to finish them up in the oven though.
About 9 minutes and then they were perfect.

Then Chip was willing to try one.

You crack me up. Is that what people do on a slow day in Arkansas?

That is the funniest thing ever. I like your pictures and demo.
I wish I lived in Arizona for one afternoon so that I could try this.

Bree's going green!!! Well does that apply if the car you baked them in is gas powered? What ever!!!!!

You mean Chip didn't want to eat cookies that were cooked in your car?!?! I love little Jane's finger in the photos. Cute cute.
You should have your own cooking show, Arkie Style.
